A 24-year-old father has died after being attacked as he walked to a shopping centre in broad daylight in the Glamis area of Glenrothes in Fife. Three men have been arrested in connection with the death of a 24-year-old in Fife at the weekend.

Fife Constabulary said inquiries were ongoing and appealed for information on four men thought to be involved. Fife Police said that the three men arrested in connection with the death were expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

They were described as being in their late teens or early 20s, wearing light-coloured baseball caps, jeans and white tops and may have been drinking and behaving in a threatening manner.
Det Sgt Stuart Welsh said: "We are aware that four young men had been in the area and need to speak to them as they may have information of assistance to our inquiry.
"This was a vicious attack against a man who appears to have been on his way to the shopping centre at the time.
"The victim was the father of a two-year-old child and it is vital that we catch whoever was responsible for his untimely death as quickly as possible - that's where the public have such an important role to play."
He also appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to call them or contact their mobile police van in Cluny Place.
