Three people including a 12-year-old girl have died in road collision in Derbyshire. Two teenagers and a 12-year-old girl have died in road collision on the A52 in Derbyshire.
Two men in a Vauxhall Corsa, and the girl travelling in a Volkswagen Passat, died in the crash at the Kirk Langley junction of the A52 on Monday night. Two males, aged 18 and 16, were in a Vauxhall Corsa which collided head on with a Volkswagen Passat near Kirk Langley on Monday night.
The female driver of the Passat is being treated in hospital with serious injuries along with a six-year-old girl who was in the front seat. The girl, from Pontefract in West Yorkshire, was a rear seat passenger in the Passat. The driver, a 45-year-old woman, was seriously injured.
The road was closed until the early hours and police asked for witnesses. A six-year-old girl, who was in the front seat, was also hurt.
The collision, which took place just before 2100 BST, closed the road for four hours.
Police have asked any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
