Jones disappeared on 19 September. Two 20-year-old men had been arrested on suspicion of murder but were released without charge on Tuesday. His friend Harley Hetherington, 18, who was beginning the same course, said on a Facebook site that had been set up to try to find Jones: “It is with deep sadness that I must inform you all that a body has been recovered from the River Severn this afternoon by police forces. Hetherington previously said he had seen him in the Velvet nightclub just before he went missing. “He seemed absolutely fine. He was behaving normally and didn’t seem intoxicated at all.
