A County Tyrone man has been killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident in the Irish Republic. A County Tyrone man killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident at the weekend had only got married recently.
The victim was Jonathon Heagney, 26, from Aughnagar, Galbally. He had been with his newly-wed wife at a family wedding in County Cavan. The body of 26-year-old Jonathan Heagney was found on the road between Carrickmacross in County Monaghan and Kingscourt, County Cavan, on Saturday.
