Unusually for October, snow has been falling across large parts of the UK - and readers of the BBC News website have been capturing the wintry scenes on camera.

Here - with the help of BBC weather forecasters on Radio 4 and Radio 5Live - take a look at some of the pictures we have been sent, from northern Scotland to Hampshire.
