Woman charged over station attack

A 40-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting at a police station, police have said.

It is understood that the charge is connected to a shooting at Newtownabbey police station in County Antrim on Saturday night.

The woman is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

A police officer remains seriously ill in hospital.
