Teenager dies after road accident

A 16-year-old girl has died following a traffic accident in Lisburn.

The victim was Elyce Lewsey from the Oakridge area of the city.

The police said only one vehicle was involved in the accident, which occurred on the Rock Road shortly after 2100 GMT on Friday.

A section of the road between Sheepwalk Road and Stoneyford Road junction was closed for a time.
