Man in court to face GBH charges

A 23-year-old man is expected to appear in court in connection with an assault in a County Down town.

The man is charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The charges relate to a serious assault in Comber in the early hours of Sunday morning during which a couple sustained head injuries.

The man is due to appear at Ards Magistrates Court in Newtownards on Tuesday.
