The young girl was with her family when the crash happened between a grey Nissan Note and a grey Mazda 3, which were travelling in opposite directions.
The injured man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where his condition was described as stable. The four others were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.
