Seven suspected migrants have been rescued from a dinghy off the Kent coast. Fourteen suspected migrants have been rescued from two dinghies off the Kent coast.
The boat was spotted about two-and-a-half miles off the coast of Dover at about 03:15 GMT. The first boat was intercepted by Border Force officers off the coast of Dover at about 01:30 GMT, the second was spotted hours later at about 08:25.
Home Office immigration enforcement officers are dealing with the matter, police said. Six men and one woman, believed to be Iranian, were passed to the immigration service and those from the second boat remain with Border Force officers.
