Peter O'Connor, club chairman, said the building was also used by other groups, and that a community resource had been lost for quite a period of time.
"It is very upsetting this is a focal point of the whole community here," he said.

Everything inside the clubhouse has been destroyed and the walls rendered unsafe. The building will have to be demolished.
Despite the damage the club said a relegation play-off match between Edendork's senior team and Pomeroy would go-ahead.
