A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kenneth Nicholl in Larne. | |
Troy McAuley from Herbert Avenue in the town appeared before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday. | |
Mr Nicholl, 29, was found stabbed to death at the back of Herbert Avenue at 0800 GMT on 2 November. | |
A detective inspector who arrested Mr McAuley said he could connect him to the charge. He was remanded in custody until 21 November. | |
A defence lawyer asked the detective inspector to confirm that during 19 police interviews the defendant denied any involvement. | |
The policeman said that Mr McAuley had made no comment and no admissions. | |
A woman arrested on suspicion of withholding information was released without charge on Monday. | |
