A 35-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Kenneth Nicholl in Larne and is expected to appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday. A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kenneth Nicholl in Larne.
Mr Nicholl, 28, was found stabbed to death at the back of Herbert Avenue at 0800 GMT on 2 November. Troy McAuley from Herbert Avenue in the town appeared before Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday.
A woman arrested on suspicion of withholding information on Sunday has been released without charge. Mr Nicholl, 29, was found stabbed to death at the back of Herbert Avenue at 0800 GMT on 2 November.
A detective inspector who arrested Mr McAuley said he could connect him to the charge. He was remanded in custody until 21 November.
A defence lawyer asked the detective inspector to confirm that during 19 police interviews the defendant denied any involvement.
The policeman said that Mr McAuley had made no comment and no admissions.
