Large areas of the West Midlands have been hit by flooding following heavy rain on Sunday. Several roads in Herefordshire remain closed due to flooding following heavy rain on Sunday.
Several roads were blocked and flood warnings are in place on the Alne, Leam and Stour rivers in Warwickshire and the River Avon in Worcestershire. Pupils from two schools in Ledbury, Bosbury Primary and John Masefield High, were sent home early on Monday because of the weather.
There are flood watches on several rivers including the River Severn in Shropshire and Worcestershire. The Met Office had issued weather warnings for the Midlands, the east, south east and London, but the warnings no longer apply for the Midlands.
The Met Office has warned of more rain spreading later in the day, some of it heavy for a time. Flood warnings remain in place on the River Avon in Worcestershire.
High water levels Home time
Flood watches have also been issued for the Cole and Rea, in Birmingham, and the Stour and Smestow Brook in south Staffordshire. Bosbury Primary School closed just after lunch because of road closures and the threat of more rain.

The A449 between Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and Stourton, Staffordshire, has been blocked in places. Watery Lane in Hereford and Watery Lane in Yarkhill are also flooded, and both remain closed.
Motorists rescued The B4361 in Orleton was closed by the Maidenhead pub and Merton Meadow Car Park was also flooded.
In Herefordshire, the A4110 and Paytoe Lane, in Leintwardine, the C1001 at Buckton and the A4110 between Bainstree Cross and Lawton Cross are all closed while the A4113 between Walford and Leintwardine is passable with care. Flood warnings are in place on the following rivers:

In Shropshire, Station Road in Albrighton is closed while the A49 at Bromfield and Craven Arms, the A458 at Morville, the Bridgnorth to Ludlow road and the main road through Highley were hit by flooding.
Firefighters were also called out to help after a car and its occupants got stuck in the ford at Burlington, just off the A5 near Sherrifhales.
They also helped move cars to safety after they got stuck in floodwater in Albrighton, at Neen Savage near Cleobury Mortimer and another on the Hodnet to Marchamley Road.
Rushall Close, in Audnam, Stourbridge, West Midlands, was also hit by flooding for the third time in three weeks.
