Detectives investigating the murder of a 90-year-old widow who had been the victim of a burglary at her Swansea home are examining CCTV images. Detectives investigating the death of a 90-year-old widow at her home in Swansea now say provisional tests showed she died from a heart attack.
The body of Avril Evans was found by her 60-year-old son at her end of terrace home in Grandison Street in Hafod at 2100 GMT on Thursday. But officers say Avril Evans' end-of-terrace home in the Hafod area of the city was "ransacked" by burglars before she died on Thursday night.
The results of a post mortem examination are expected later. They are investigating whether burglars were directly or indirectly in touch with the Mrs Evans before she died.
Police working on the case have revealed she was last seen alive at about 1550 GMT in nearby Neath Street. Officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Thirty police officers are working on the murder case which was launched after Mrs Evans' body was discovered downstairs in her home. She had last been seen alive in nearby Neath Street at around 1550 GMT. .
It has since been discovered her home had been burgled at around the time of her death. A murder inquiry was immediately launched.
Forensic officers have examined the scene for clues But on Saturday police said a provisional post mortem examination indicated the grandmother died from a heart attack.
Speaking on Friday, Det Supt Ken Isaac, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our thoughts are with Avril's family and friends. Police want to hear from anyone in the area from Thursday afternoon
"We are treating this as a murder-style investigation." However, further tests are still being carried out and detectives are still waiting for a formal conclusion.
Following the discovery of her death, Mrs Evans' neighbours expressed their shock at her death. They said they believe the burglary which took place around the same time may have triggered the tragedy.
'Vunerable ones'
Senior investigating officer Det Supt Ken Isaac said: "We still have a number of enquiries to carry out at this stage to find out what exactly had happened to Avril on Thursday evening.
"Her house was ransacked by unknown persons, who might have directly or indirectly been in contact with her before she died."
Almost 30 officers are working on the inquiry and a major incident room has been set up at Cockett Police station.
CCTV footage has been examined and officers are still at the scene in Hafod on Saturday, searching for forensic evidence.
Divisional commander for Swansea, Chief Supt Mel Jehu said: "This was an extremely serious crime and we condemn those who target the vulnerable ones in the society to make gain for themselves.
He said Hafod had always been a peaceful neighbourhood which is why the tragedy has touched everyone.
Ch Supt Jehu added: "I would like to reassure the community that we are doing everything we can to find out who has committed this heinous crime and give an answer to the family and friends of Avril".
Mrs Evans' neighbours have expressed their shock at her death.

"I can reassure them, and everyone in Swansea, that we will deal with this case swiftly and bring those responsible to justice.
"I would appeal to anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem to them, to contact us as it may help our inquiries."
