House severely damaged in blaze

A fire has caused substantial damage to a house in Newtownabbey.

The blaze broke out at the property on the Antrim Road in Glengormley at around 1700 GMT.

A police spokesman said they are investigating the circumstances of the fire. It is not yet known how it started.

The spokesman added that the examination of the scene was "likely to take some time before the circumstances of the fire are established".
