The man, who is 32 and from Hull, was hit just after midnight on Beverley Road in the city. Married father-of-four Karl Rowbottom, 32, from the Greatfield Estate in Hull, was hit just after midnight on Beverley Road in the city.
Police said Mr Rowbottom, a chef, was on his way home from a night out with colleagues when the accident happened.
