Victim dies after street attack Engineer death 'tragic accident'

A man has died in hospital, two days after he was found unconscious following a street attack. The death of a 39-year-old BT engineer found severely injured in the street is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

They want to speak to anyone who may have seen Mr Carroll at the junction of Trinity Avenue and Mowbray Road between 0100 and 0200 GMT on Friday. An inquest has been opened and adjourned on Mr Carroll on Monday and evidence was given that the cause of death was a severe head injury.
