Two men have denied murdering two French students who were found dead in a burning bedsit in London. | |
Gabriel Ferez and Laurent Bonomo, both 23, were found bound and gagged with multiple stab wounds in the New Cross bedsit on 29 June. | |
Nigel Edwards Farmer, 33, of no fixed address, and Danno Sonnex, 23, from Peckham, south London, denied murder, arson, burglary and false imprisonment. | |
They were remanded in custody by an Old Bailey court until 21 April next year. | |
They entered their pleas by video link. | |
Mr Farmer and Mr Sonnex also deny charges of trying to pervert the course of justice. | |
They are alleged to have stolen a bank card, a credit card, games consoles and mobile phones. | |
The badly-burned bodies of the two students were found after an explosion at the bedsit. | |
Mr Bonomo had been stabbed nearly 200 times, while Mr Ferez had nearly 50 knife wounds. |
