Power lines owned by Pacific Gas & Electric sparked the Camp fire early on the morning of 8 November 2018. “Tinder dry vegetation” and high winds “caused extreme rates of spread”, a statement read.
The fire killed 85 people and almost completely incinerated the town of Paradise.
