Health staff stage "work-to-rule" Health workers in pay protest

Members of the Unite union who work in the health service will be taking one day of industrial action on Wednesday. Hundreds of health service workers are holding protests outside Northern Ireland hospitals in a dispute over pay.
Health service staff from pharmacists to maintenance workers are protesting over what they call a "derisory three-year pay deal". They include paramedics, school nurses and maintenance staff who are angry at a below-inflation pay deal offered by the government.
They are working to rule but insist emergency cover is being maintained.
The workers' union, Unite, described the offer as a "derisory three-year pay deal".

Protests will be held outside hospitals where staff will hold a work-to-rule protest. However, emergency cover will be maintained.
