A Nottingham City Homes spokesperson said: "Two of the flats have been deemed uninhabitable by our structural engineer; the remaining six in the block are currently being surveyed. A Nottingham City Homes spokesperson said: "Residents of the two affected flats are being accommodated elsewhere whilst we continue to assess the damage.
"The residents of all eight flats have been evacuated, and we are looking after them whilst initial investigations continue. "We are looking into the possibility that a pressurised canister exploded in the property, which led to the damage being caused."
