A spokeswoman for East of England Ambulance Service said there are as many as 15 casualties. More than 20 firefighters are at the scene, according to Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service.
A police cordon has been put in place about 400m (1320ft) from the crash.
Casualties are being taken to Addenbrooke's and Hinchingbrooke hospitals in Cambridge, a spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said.
Police have not confirmed the types of vehicles involved in the collision.
