Toddler with head injuries dies Couple charged over toddler death

The parents of a three-year-old boy who died from head injuries in hospital have been charged in connection with his death. A couple charged over the death of a three-year-old who died from head injuries have appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court.
The boy was found on Monday at an address in Bradley, Wolverhampton, and died two days later at Birmingham Children's Hospital. Kayley Boleyn, 18, and her partner Christopher Taylor, 23, were charged with causing or allowing Ryan's death.
A 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were charged with causing or allowing the death of a child. Ryan Hancox-Lovell, the son of Ms Boleyn's cousin, died in Birmingham Children's Hospital on Christmas Eve.
They have been ordered to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court. He was found with head injuries at an address in Bradley, Wolverhampton, at about 2300 GMT on Monday, police said.
Alleged offences
Ms Boleyn and Mr Taylor, from Slim Avenue, in Bradley, Wolverhampton, did not enter pleas during the 10-minute hearing.
They were both dressed casually in tracksuit bottoms and spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.
The charges against the couple relate to alleged offences between December 1 and December 23 and both were remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 5 January.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Saturday.
