A 60-year-old man is due to appear before magistrates in Pontypridd charged with the murder of a man in Merthyr Tydfil almost a week ago. A 60-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged with murder of a man aged 64 in Merthyr Tydfil.
Kenneth Augur, who was 64, was found dead at his bungalow in the Twynrodyn area of the town last Saturday. The man, who has not been named, was remanded in custody by magistrates at Pontypridd to appear at Merthyr Crown Court on 2 January.
Office were called to the sheltered housing complex at 2230 GMT. Kenneth Augur lived alone in a bungalow in the Twynyrodyn area of the town.
