Woman trapped in house fire dies

A 36-year-old woman has died after being trapped inside a house on fire in Greater Manchester, police said.

The woman was inside the property in Tonge Head Avenue, Hall i'th' Wood, Bolton after the blaze started at around 0300 GMT.

Firefighters pulled the victim from the house and she was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital where she later died.

Greater Manchester Police said an investigation had been launched but the fire was not thought to be suspicious.
