Three people have been taken to hospital following a late-night collision involving two vehicles in the south Wales valleys.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said two adults were cut free by fire crews from one of the vehicles.

The collision was near Scott's Hotel, Beddau, near Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, shortly after 2300 GMT on Saturday.

A third person was freed from the wreckage before the crews arrived.
