A 16-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man are in custody and officers have recovered a knife. A 16-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man are in custody on suspicion of the possession of a bladed article.
The teenager was also arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Passer-by Amy Fearnside described the moment eight police officers arrived wearing stab vests and went into The Cornerhouse complex.
"We only knew what happened as my boyfriend heard a teenager on his phone asking to be picked up as someone had been stabbed," said the 38-year-old from Strelley, Nottinghamshire.
"There was no panic, people were just carrying on as normal. A few people were coming out of the building, but not running or anything."
