A solar panel on an two-story apartment building in Southeast D.C. caught fire Sunday, forcing the evacuation of two adults and two children, District fire authorities said.

The fire, at 4807 Alabama Ave. SE, started about 11 a.m. and extended into the building’s roof, fire department spokesman Vito Maggiolo said. There were no injuries, but the Red Cross was called to help find housing for the evacuees.
