DETAILS TO FOLLOW The Indian government has been arguing that the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is aimed at protecting persecuted minorities, as it simplifies the acquiring of citizenship for six religious groups which have arrived from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
