Pedestrian hit by car, killed in Prince William County, police say

Version 0 of 1. A pedestrian was struck by a car and killed Tuesday in Prince William County, police said. Korey Nicholas Aldrich, 34, of Haymarket, was struck about 6:30 a.m. as he crossed Linton Hall Road near Whitney Road in the Gainesville area, police said. Aldrich was in a designated crosswalk, but the driver had the right of way, police said. They said the motorist had a green signal, while a pedestrian signal warned against crossing.
