Man shot, seriously wounded in Fairland area of Montgomery, police say

Version 0 of 1. One person was seriously wounded in Montgomery County on Sunday evening in an apparent shooting, the police said. The victim, who was a man, according to preliminary investigation, was found about 6:25 p.m. near Treetop Lane in the Fairland area of the county, the police said. They said he was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious wounds. Treetop Lane is a short street that runs east and west, just west of Columbia Pike and about two miles north of the Capital Beltway.
