The fire service said there were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances, but investigators would examine the scene on Tuesday morning. Group commander Kev Hardwick, of NFRS, said the age of the building and the wooden parts of the structure made it a complex fire.
"[Older buildings] tend to have changed around over the years, so fire can travel through old voids, up behind wood cladding," he said.
"It's really difficult to check the fire's spread."
There were not thought to be any suspicious circumstances, the fire service said, but investigators will examine the scene.
