"Customers would come in and say they'd heard this and that on the radio and TV and that was quite difficult to take. "I've seen a lot of changes over the years and I couldn't bear to see the place being cleared out like that, people coming in to buy the fixtures and take the place away. "It's a tremendous team. It's just so sad it's come to this. We keep smiling and have a laugh and will hopefully be ok," Mrs Wood said.
