Man fatally shot Sunday afternoon in Southwest D.C., police say
Version 0 of 1. A man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in Southwest Washington, in a neighborhood near a police station and Nationals Park, according to D.C. police. Eric Delonte Barbour, 36, of Southwest, was found about 2:15 p.m. in the back of the unit block of N Street SW, just west of South Capitol Street, according to police. He died at a hospital, police said. No motive could be learned, and no information was available about any suspect. The area is about three blocks northwest of the baseball park and about the same distance southeast of the headquarters of D.C. police’s First District on M Street SW.
