Giving evidence at Winchester Crown Court, Mr Rowan-Davies said he had known the victim for some time and spent an evening with her and another friend the night before her death, drinking vodka and taking cocaine. Under cross-examination he said he told Ms Case he "fancied" her that night but that she had laughed it off.
Prosecutor William Mousley QC asked: "How did it make you feel when she laughed?"
He replied: "I was used to it," adding it was "normal".
The jury was told his friend went to bed with Ms Case that evening and the defendant attempted to covertly film them having sex through a gap in the door.
'Petrified'
He told the court he went back to Ms Case's house the following day to collect some tobacco he had left behind but nobody answered the door.
