A major rescue operation is under way after a helicopter with seven people on board crashed in Morecambe Bay. Five bodies have been recovered from the sea following a helicopter crash off Morecambe Bay, police have said.
The aircraft, which took off from Blackpool Airport, was ferrying Centrica personnel to a gas field in the Lancashire bay when it came down. A major rescue operation was launched after the Eurocopter AS365N with seven people on board came down.
