Meanwhile the AA is forecasting that the upward trend in the cost of car insurance premiums will continue.

The AA's latest quarterly index showed that over the year, quoted premiums have risen by £50 or 7.6%, to an average of £724.28.
The AA's latest quarterly index shows that the average quoted premium for comprehensive car insurance has risen to £741.66, an 8.7% increase on last year.
There was slightly better news for some customers as contents premiums dropped by nearly 4.2% and combined buildings and contents dropped by 1.9% over the last quarter.
The average quoted buildings premium is £218.04, a 7.5% increase compared to £202.82 this time last year.
