Two people have died after the car they were travelling in plunged into a dyke. A father and daughter have died after their car plunged into a dyke.

Lincolnshire Police said despite the efforts of the public and emergency services a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Daniel Place, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene. His 21-year-old daughter India died shortly afterwards in hospital.
The other person in the vehicle, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to hospital but also later died. Lincolnshire Police said it was not yet clear how the car came to end up in the water.

Lincolnshire Police has asked for anyone who witnessed the vehicle enter the water near the local primary school to contact them. Eyewitness Dean Lambert said he saw people trying to save the pair.

India Place is believed to have worked at the Seascape Cafe at the North Sea Observatory in the seaside town.
In a post on its Facebook page, it paid tribute to the 21-year-old.
"It is with the heaviest of hearts and with great sadness that today we have lost one of our Seascape family," the statement
"We and the team are devastated and will spend the day remembering every piece of the beautiful girl we have lost."
