Version 0 of 1.

Police investigating the murder of a Hampshire woman found stabbed in her car have released CCTV images of up to 50 witnesses they want to trace.

The body of Paula Poolton was found in her Peugeot parked in Duncan Road near Swanwick railway station on 28 October.

The 40-year-old, of Titchfield, Fareham, had been missing for 11 days.

The images released by police are from the CCTV system at the railway station taken on Friday, 17 October - the last day Ms Poolton was seen alive.

Police said the people in the pictures are not suspects but may be "crucial witnesses".

Ms Poolton was last seen on CCTV footage shopping at Tesco in Bursledon, at about 2130 BST on 17 October.

Police believe her car and body may have been left in Duncan Road later that night.

Det Ch Insp Darren O'Callaghan said: "Each of these people could have seen something that holds the key to solving this crime.

"I would ask anyone who recognises themselves in these images or who remembers using Swanwick station on 17 October to contact us.

"We are still working to establish exactly when Paula's car - a black Peugeot 206 registration number HK54 KHH - was left in Duncan Road; it could be that one of these people saw Paula's car.

"That may seem like a small detail, but it is pivotal to our inquiry that we know as much as we can about the movements of Paula and her car.

"Obviously these people have nothing to fear about contacting us.

"We understand that they may have felt that they didn't see anything important and that the witness appeals did not apply to them, but I would still urge them to get in touch."

Two men, aged 52 and 55 from the Fareham area, questioned on suspicion of her murder, are on bail.
