A man found fatally shot over the weekend in Prince George’s County was identified Monday by police as a 38-year-old D.C. man.

Damaris Lindsey was found about 12:20 p.m. Saturday in the driver’s seat of a van that had struck a guardrail on northbound Interstate 295 near the exit for eastbound Route 50, county police said.

He had a gunshot wound and died shortly afterward at a hospital, police said.

They said they are trying to find a suspect and learn what led to the shooting.

The site is in the Tuxedo/Cheverly area, just north of the border between the District and Prince George’s.
