Man in court after street death

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a father who was found in a street with head injuries.

Martin McGuinness is the fourth person to be accused of killing Daron Hargreaves, 32, who was found in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

The 22-year-old, from Pitshill, was remanded into custody after appearing at North Staffs Magistrates' Court.

Mr Hargreaves, of Colley Road, Pitshill, was found in Chell Green Avenue on 22 December.

Three other men, who were earlier charged with murder, are also in custody.

They are Gary Rogers, 18, of Bentley Road, Jamie Bennett, 19, of Grayshott Road, and Daniel Tunstall, 20, of Rivington Crescent and are due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 5 January.

Mr Hargreaves, a delivery driver, lived with his fiancee and two sons, aged three and five.
