Almost 100 jobs are to go in a second round of redundancies at a forklift manufacturing plant in County Armagh.

NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG) has announced 96 redundancies at its Craigavon plant on Monday.

In September, the company made 81 people redundant. There are 616 people currently employed at the site.

"These are difficult times and these are regrettable proposals forced on the company by global difficulties not of our making," said manager Alan Little.

"The company will endeavour to make every reasonable effort to sustain our business position as we progress through the current recession," he said.

"This will include considering a temporary measure of introducing a reduced working week."
