Leona celebrates New Year at top

X Factor winner Leona Lewis is entering 2007 at the top of the singles chart, after maintaining her hold on the number one slot for a second week.

Last week the 21-year-old stormed the charts, taking the Christmas top spot with debut track A Moment Like This.

Revived boy band Take That's Patience remains at number two, while Beautiful World continues to top the album chart.

Oasis and Snow Patrol, whose Eyes Open is now in its 35th week in the chart, completed the top three albums.

Heavy metal rockers Iron Maiden were the highest new entry in the singles chart, with Different World, at number three.

Akon featuring Eminem climbed five places to number four, with German dance trio Cascada's Truly Madly Deeply rounding out the top five.
