A woman accused of murder following the discovery of human remains in two suitcases in the Forest of Dean is set to stand trial on 10 November. The family of a woman whose remains were found in two suitcases in the Forest of Dean say they are "devastated" by her death.
Gareeca Conita Gordon, 27, is charged with murdering an unidentified woman at her home address in Birmingham. In a statement, Phoenix Netts' family said they needed to "come to terms with the loss of Phoenix in such tragic circumstances."
Mahesh Sorathiya, 38, of Wolverhampton, is accused of assisting an offender. "We have family and good friends supporting us and our thanks go out to all of them."
Two people have been charged over the 28-year-old's death.

Mr Justice Garnham said the trial would be held at Bristol Crown Court, although an application to transfer the case to Birmingham Crown Court would be heard at a later stage. The judge granted bail to Mr Sorathiya. No application for bail was made on behalf of Ms Gordon.

The charges relate to the discovery of human remains found in two suitcases close to a quarry, near Coleford, on 12 May. "We've worked closely with colleagues at Gloucestershire over the past week and our investigation continues at pace.
Gloucestershire Police previously said a post-mortem examination was inconclusive and further examinations are continuing to establish the cause of death. "We'd urge anyone with any information about the tragic loss of Phoenix's life to get in touch with us."
