Boy, 10, badly hurt in collision

A 10-year-old boy has been seriously injured after he was in collision with a car, say South Wales Police.

It happened on the A4119 at its junction with the B4595 at Talbot Road, Talbot Green, near Llantrisant, at about 1825 GMT on Friday.

The local boy, whose name has not been released, was in collision with a silver Ford Ka heading along the A4119 towards the M4.

He is being treated at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

Police are appealing for information and asked any witnesses to contact them on 01656 655555.
