Firefighters helped 36 people get out of the coach with half a dozen needing to be helped out from the wreckage. Firefighters using cutting equipment released the six trapped passengers and escorted 36 other people out of the wreckage.

The slip road where the crash took place has been closed while the incident is dealt with. There were 67 passengers and two staff on board the coach, which was also due to stop at Heathrow Airport, Carlisle, Hamilton, Glasgow and Dundee.

There is no access to the M25 clockwise from either direction of the M4 from junction 15 but there is a diversion in place via the roundabout.
