Two women killed in crash named

Emma Harold, 26, of the town's Foxhall Road, and Kate Wasyluk, 25, of Irlam Road, died after being hit by a Citroen Saxo early on Saturday. The car crashed into a wall during the accident on Foxhall Road. A 20-year-old man and a woman, aged 22, both from the Ipswich area, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. A woman, aged 25, who was also hit by the car is in a serious but stable condition at Ipswich Hospital. The arrested man was also taken to the hospital for treatment, where he remains under police guard, while the woman has been bailed until 18 March. Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who saw the silver Saxo prior to the crash, or who witnessed the crash itself. |
