Strathclyde Police are investigating the deaths of two men in separate incidents. A murder inquiry has been launched in Glasgow after the death of a teenager.
A man's body was found in a property in the Inverclyde village of Inverkip at 0415 GMT. A post-mortem examination is being arranged. Robert Cowan, 19, of Lenzie Terrace, Springburn, was fatally injured in a disturbance on Springburn Road, near the Jet service station, at 0050 GMT.
In Glasgow, a 19-year-old man died after a disturbance involving several people near the Jet service station on Springburn Road at about 0050 GMT. His two friends, aged 19 and 21, were seriously injured in the altercation, which involved several people, and are in a stable condition in hospital.
Two of the dead man's friends, aged 19 and 21, were seriously injured. Police are also treating the death of a man in Inverclyde as suspicious. His body was found in Inverkip at 0415 GMT.
They are being treated in Glasgow's Royal Infirmary. A post-mortem examination is being arranged.
