Charge over 'homophobic murder'

A 46-year-old man has been charged in connection with what may have been a homophobic killing.

Gerry Edwards, 59, was stabbed to death and his partner Chris Bevan, 56, was also stabbed at Page Heath Villas, Bromley, in south-east London.

Mr Bevan is said to remain in a critical condition in hospital.

David Kilcullen, 46, from Bromley, is accused of murder and attempted murder, and is due to appear at Greenwich Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A 59-year-old man also arrested over the death was bailed to return in April.
