Man faces attempted murder charge

A 22-year-old man is due to appear in court later on a charge of attempted murder.

It follows a stabbing in Castlewellan, County Down, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Another man was taken to hospital where his injuries were described as serious but not life threatening.

The 22-year-old man is due to appear before Downpatrick Magistrates Court later on Monday.
